PwllheliA rest day, to get sorted for a trip to Holyhead on Tuesday. I took advantage of the facilities to fuel up (the first marina with Petrol!), washed my clothes, clean the boat, pack away my hiking gear and do some shopping.

It is a pit frustrating that over the last few weeks I have had very little wind and now that I have chosen to take a day out the wind is blowing a force 4 from the southwest. Worst is the fact that the back end of another Hurricane is due to hit late on Wednesday with 40 – 50 mph winds. Hopefully I can get to Holyhead before that.

The main planning for the next leg centres on getting the timing of my passage through the Bardsey Sound correct as although it is 1.5 miles wide the tide can run at up to 5 knots. The tides at looking good for a midmorning start.

In my continuing quest to find all the Hunter Deltas in the country I found another one for my collection today. “Dancer” is a lift keel Delta (hull number 62) based at Pwllheli marina.
